Negative vibe - what annoys you about certain strips? 28 Replies

Okay, first up, I don't want to identify specific strips or cartoonists; let's not get personal. I think a discussion about what bugs us and why (even if it doesn't most people or anybody for that...

Kindergarten Gunplay

I've put together a couple of strips for a concept called Kindergarten Gunplay, an R-rated strip about anthropomorphic blobs that do crime, quote the Tao te Ching, and generally revel in offensive absurdity. I'm wondering if I should release them in a blog format, or if I should set up an html or flash based site. A little feedback on the comic and advice on the website would be appreciated, thanks!

The editors at the syndicate will be whittling down the entries before it gets to me. I just heard from them that there's about 4000 entries so far.

I also submitted an answer. I've shown some of my work here before, so I have no shame in doing something like this. I figure the worst that can happen is I'll win and they'll throw a parade in my honor and announce a holiday in my name and Wiley ...

I submitted an idea. My pride has been beaten out of me. I could wallpaper my studio with all the rejection slips that I have received. If it gives Wiley a smile it's well worth it. He usually gives me a daily laugh.

That's what I thought! Why are they putting suggestions in the comments box when the instructions clearly ask you to click on the hyperlink? I must admit I did click the link and filled out a few, then chickened out. I'm supposed to be a professio...

The problem is, those aren't entries for the contest. They have to enter officially by following the link provided at the top of the page. Why that's seemingly so difficult for people to do is beyond me.
