Hi roy...you got great artwork there..the only thing we artists had to do is KEEP ON PRACTICING and never get bored of drawing...to me to draw everyday without fail is a great therapy ..so keep it up!
You can get the feel of a real caricaturist is to experiment by doing caricaturing openly for example doing it in functions or family gatherings or party or even to some extend doing it on the roadside to gain some recognition..otherwise no one will notice you..but as I said keep it on..
Hi! Was just looking at your pieces you posted here and I'm impressed. You have a good eye for that spark of life that gives someone personality. (I really like the guy with the fish)
Good luck on developing your talent into working with live subjects. :-)
Roy: Thanks for the note. I use a mixture of pens and markers (on bristol board; then edited via Photoshop). What I'm "playing" with now are the Faber-Castell PITT pens. Plus, I do use Sharpies for my quick-sketch caricatures. I get the varied-sized pens from Michael's. Thanks for the note and after seeing your nice illustrations, I guess I had better upload some recent projects.
